Just had a revelation I've made a connection between microbiology and management. Bacteria comes in two forms the good kind such as the kind found in blue cheese which under controled circumstances adds to the products nuances in texture and flavor. Then there are the bacteria which are undesireable causing spoilage and illness. These bacteria find a host with a favorable enviroment exploiting the resources which begins an exponential population gain only to crash when resources are exhausted. In business the use of consultants under a controled enviroment will benfit the company but outside of those controls will propogate themselves with ever increasing requests for additional help in the form of more consultants until resources are exhausted and the company implodes.
